TRUE CONFESSIONS X VENUS VS. MARS
In 2019, pre-pandemic, The Kim Dynasty Show was on WEMS Radio in Brooklyn, NY. Every week, I would have a guest(s) from the entertainment industry. One week, in particular, I had three women as guests discussing the challenges in business and love. The following week, I had three men as guests debating the same topics. Our discussion became so intense I told them, "You wouldn't say that if the women were here!" The men told me to bring it on! That began Venus vs. Mars as a stand-alone show.
Unlike the relationship podcast shows of today, Venus vs. Mars is a what would you do if you were in this situation segment. How would you handle the challenges of a disabled mate or child, income or credit issues, cheating and infidelity, stepchildren or bonus children, alcohol or drug abuse, or the infamous "the child isn't mine." These are real-life problems people go through daily. I aim for the guests to hear each other and to understand one another. There are no right or wrong answers, only opinions, and as I always say, there's no such thing as a one-size-fits-all relationship, so I don't expect everyone to agree.
So, why not add a little razzle-dazzle? Venus vs. Mars will feature True Confessions. Dynasty Radio NY will take anonymous submissions, and our audience will have a chance to give insight into how they would handle the unidentified persons' dilemma.
