Sexyy Red, born Janae Nierah Wherry, grew up in Saint Louis, MO. She earned the name "Red" in middle school because of her firey red hair, and the "Sexyy" just fit. She found her way into the music industry when she discovered her Ex was cheating on her. She turned her pain into passion and made a diss track about him, his new girl, and his new girl's friends. She was definitely on the next level of petty.

Sexyy Red has managed to gain the attention of artists such as Travis Scott, Drake, and Summer Walker, and her chart-topping songs like "Pound Town," "Pound Town Remix" featuring Nicki Minaj, "SkeeYee," "Shake Yo Dreads," and the new sensation "Rich Baby Daddy," with Drake, Sexyy Red can't miss.
